Wyclef Jean On ’60 Minutes’

immigrated to the U.S. as a baby and grew up to live the American dream as a millionaire rock star. He’s now using his extraordinary talents and wealth to help his native Haiti. The Fugees star spoke with ’60 Minutes’ about his efforts. “The first thing we have to do, is to get these kids to rise up,” Clef said. “They’re self esteems. They’re always walking in the streets with their heads [pointed down]. They felt like everybody forgot them, so if I can start an organization where there’s programs and they feel like people care, I felt that there would be a start.” Watch a preview of the segment aired Sunday night below.
