X-Ecutioners Brought Linkin Park Fans Into DJ World

Curtis Ross of The Tampa Tribune spoke with X-Ecutioners Rob Swift on why the group collaborated with Linkin Park on ‘It’s Goin’ Down’. Swift revealed, “We thought, ‘Let’s draw their fan base into our world of DJing. Let’s reach those fans that go out and buy music, turn them on to the whole thing of what we do.’ We didn’t want to make a DJ album for other DJs. We wanted to make an album you could listen to whether you were a DJ or not, if you were black, white, in your teens, in your 40s. We wanted to bridge all those gaps.” The full story at tbo.com has since been removed.
