Young Gunz Get ‘Tough’

Young Gunz wrote enough material for a pair of albums, but it was a crisis and subsequent commitment to the duo that formed their debut ‘Tough Luv’, right down to its title. “When we first started doing the State Property project, I fell back into the streets real heavy,” Neef tells RollingStone.com. “I wasn’t coming to the studio. So my man [Young] Chris was getting on me, and he did [the title track] that told me to keep going, to look at Jay and how he did what he did. Basically it was tough love coming at me telling me we need to do it. We’re in this now, and we each have a crutch.”
