When Lil’ Romeo and his father, Master P, decided they would make a TV show, they had little doubt about which network they wanted it on. “‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ and ‘Fairly Odd Parents’ are my favorite shows,” the rapper, who recently turned 14, told The Associated Press. The programs, featuring the animated adventures of a bumbling ocean sponge and a boy with equally bumbling fairy godparents, are Nickelodeon’s most popular series, regularly landing in the cable Nielsen ratings’ Top 10. “But now,” he adds playfully, “the best show on Nickelodeon is going to be ‘Romeo’.”
Rap acts on television this week include Ludacris, who appears on MTV’s Total Request Live and BET’s 106 and Park on Tuesday (Busta Rhymes and Rah Digga are also on 106 and Park Tuesday); Eve, who appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday; and Lil’ Romeo, who appears on the Wayne Brady Show on Friday. Also, look for 50 Cent on the UK edition of TRL sometime this week.
BET.com’s ‘On The Corner Of 106 & Park’ caught up with Romeo for a brief Q&A session and asked the young rapper the most memorable moment from taping his sitcom ‘Romeo!’. He responded, “We had a scene where me and my foster brother had to get into a fight. We didn’t rehearse for it or nothing, he busted my lip twice and his head hit the concrete. That’s my most memorable moment.”
