Soulja Boy visited ‘Good Day LA’ on Wednesday (May 6), talking about how the kids know who he is, but he’s still not recognized by guys in the business suits. “I want my music to be spread all over, all ages,” the ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’ rapper said. Soulja Boy added that he didn’t want to be known for his gimmicks and is halfway to his goal of 1 million Twitter followers. Watch the interview below.
Soulja Boy posted behind the scenes footage for ‘Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em: The Animated Series’. “The show is about me basically becoming a superstar, and after I became a superstar I gotta go find myself or whatever,” Soulja Boy explains in the clip. “I gotta go back to high school and I still gotta graduate. Basically I use my celebrity status to get me in and out of trouble that a regular student going to high school wouldn’t be able to get out of.” Footage at YouTube has since been removed.
Soulja Boy updated fans on his Twitter page (@souljaboy) today, talking about dealing with a medical situation. The ‘Turn My Swag On’ rapper writes:

Soulja Boy spoke with the Los Angeles Times about how more rappers are knocking on his door after he proved ‘Crank That’ wasn’t going to be his one-hit wonder, returning to the charts with ‘Kiss Me Thru the Phone’ and ‘Turn My Swag On’. “When I went into the studio to record my second album, everybody wanted to see me fail,” the rapper told Chris Lee. “At this point, I’m thinking: ‘I’m not going to do it to prove them wrong. I’m going to do it for myself, for my fans, for history — period. People are saying I’m the new MC Hammer? That’s not me.'”
Soulja Boy posted some footage from a concert where the rapper did some surfing on the guardrail, as people in the front row tried pulling him into the crowd, security came and pulled the ‘Turn My Swag On’ rapper back to the stage. Watch it below.

Hood Affairs TV caught up with Soulja Boy on the set of his ‘Gucci Bandana’ music video in Atlanta, where he seemed to be reigniting his beef with Bow Wow, no doubt spurred on by his recent chart success and Bow Wow’s album sales disappointment. Soulja Boy was joined by DJ Drama, Gucci Mane, Shawty Low, and Arab. “The reason why Soulja Boy was gone from Atlanta for so long was because ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’ became the #1 song in the country, and they booked me so many shows.” Watch the footage via YouTube below.
