Talib Kweli Remembers 9/11, Blasts U.S. “Terrorizing” Foreign Policy

Talib Kweli checked in with his Twitter followers (@RealTalibKweli) today to remember the 9th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The hip hop artist took the opportunity to defend Islam, to criticize U.S. foreign policy, and hinted at being a 9/11 Truther. Kweli writes:

Let’s never forget about those who lost their lives on this day in 2001. Let us always support their families.

Let us never forget the firefighters, police, soldiers & first responders that ran into the world trade center, many never came out.

Let us remember that people of many different faiths were killed that day and helped that day. Including Christians, Jews AND Muslims.

Let us not blame an entire religion for the actions of a few confused, sick men.

Let us remember that when it served our interest, America gave Bin Laden an arsenal to wage war against Russia. Let’s not have blinders on.

Let’s build an America that creates an environment for peace. Let’s live up to our potential.

Whether the US govt was directly responsible for Sept 11 or not, our govt often practices foriegn policy that terrorizes the world.

These policies create havoc for many innocent people, and create great hostility for America.

It is up to us, American people, to reverse the pathology of hate, and be true leaders in the world, not false ones.

Everyone has an agenda. Even conspiracy theorists. If you don’t know the source of your info or the author’s history, you don’t really know.

Talib Kweli

Talib Kweli is weighing in on the bizarre protests of U.S. President Barack Obama’s video address to children returning to school, which many conservatives have labeled an attempt to indoctrinate kids. Kweli told his Twitter followers (@RealTalibKweli):

Wow. Whether you support Obama or not this uproar over his back to school speech is racism. He won. Get over it.

Not all hate is racially motivated. I do not use that word lightly. This back to school speech stuff? RACISM. I know it when I see it.

Yea I seen the Obama deception. Like I said, whether u support him or not, this back to school speech stuff is racism.

No one was mad when GWB was reading My Pet Goat during 911. He was the president. The American president SHOULD speak at American schools

He shouldn’t spread his views to our children? He the PRESIDENT. His views are mainstream.
